Savify Expands Leadership Team: Sonny Wooten Appointed Vice President of Business Development

Atlanta, GA: Savify, the leading merchant discount program in the payments industry, has announced the expansion of its leadership team, with Sonny Wooten taking the new position of Vice President of Business Development. In his new role, Mr. Wooten will deliver Savify’s innovative retention and revenue solutions to the marketplace, working with ISOs, acquirers, and processors to meet the needs of their merchant customers. He will also use his extensive industry knowledge, professional relationships and strategic insight to explore new opportunities to continue Savify’s growth trajectory. “His experience and personality are the perfect complement to our leadership team” says CEO Gary Alloy. “Sonny is a huge asset, and we’re excited to have his expertise in pursuing opportunities that create long-term value.” Mr. Wooten currently serves on the Southeast Acquirers’ Association Advisory Board of Directors. Previously, Mr. Wooten served at American Express for 36 years. He is a recognized and respected leader in the payments industry, most recently positioned as the Director of Business Development in the merchant acquisition strategy group. Mr. Wooten has held numerous positions over the years, working his way up and launching several successful initiatives, including the External Sales Agent (ESA) program, OnePoint℠, and OptBlue®, winning two Chairmen’s Awards along the way, American Express’ highest honor.
